Ouroboros

Ouroboros draws inspiration from the ancient symbol of the serpent devouring its own tail, an emblem of eternal cycles, renewal, and transformation. This piece reimagines cycles — psychological, emotional, and societal — through the act of cleansing, seen as a transformative ritual. It explores the ways in which we lose and rediscover ourselves, how we navigate the patterns that serve us and break those that hinder us, and how we engage with the cycles of love, connection, and self-renewal.

Ouroboros was created during residency in Casablanca (Morocco) at the American Arts Center and performed at the La Mercè Festival 2024 in Barcelona.
